Castor Vali is proud to announce that it has successfully migrated from the OHSAS 18001:2007 certification to the new Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standard ISO 45001:2018. This transition was important to Castor Vali as OHSAS 18001 focused primarily on OH&S hazards and other internal issues within an organisation. Whereas ISO 45001 focuses on the interaction between an organisation and its business environment and expressly includes the participation and consultation of its workforce.

This change represents a significant shift in the way health and safety management is perceived. OH&S is no longer treated as a “stand alone”, but must be viewed within the perspective of running a sound and sustainable organization.” (International Standards Organisation 2018)
