Guidance for Security Personnel

When sending applications please be aware that you must meet the below minimum qualifications for maritime security personnel , these are mandatory (unless otherwise stated):
- Proof of military service and testimonial
- Seaman’s Card and Discharge Book
- Maritime Firearms Competency Course Certificate
- FPOS(i) or equivalent – must include trauma element
- Industry recognised psychological assessment
- Drug and alcohol test
- STCW
- ENG1
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or equivalent for non-UK residents)
- Maritime Security Operators (MSO) Course
Additional requirements for offshore maritime security personnel:
- BOSIET – not mandatory but highly desirable
Land-based security personnel
- FPOS(i) or equivalent – must include trauma element
- Industry recognised psychological assessment
- Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or equivalent for non-UK residents)
