Castor Vali provides high-calibre specialist, experienced and adaptable unarmed security liaison personnel for a multitude of roles.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our people. Castor Vali supports clients in the land and offshore domain with a variety of skilled personnel from our pool of hand-picked security professionals. Whether the requirement is for a short-term contract or longer, embedded support, we provide expatriate and regional personnel to meet our client’s project and budget requirements.
Land: Onshore, our Field Security Advisors (FSAs) are deployed ahead of time. Supported by the back-office headquarters, our teams mobilise to the site with the mandate to identify, understand and capture any, and all, associated project risks. Whether an onshore exploration project, extractives site visit or advanced route reconnaissance, Castor Vali ensure that objectives are met safely and securely.
Due to the complexities and geographic variety of the onshore environment in which we work, our teams begin with a thorough threat assessment process to provide a foundation for operations. We have the information and tools to understand, and subsequently develop, bespoke project security plans and associated protocols. Whether for journey management planning, emergency response or evacuation plans, Castor Vali’s teams are committed to proactive planning and preparedness to ensure our client’s success.
Offshore: Castor Vali deploys specialist teams to support the vessel master, Party Chief (PC) or Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) with the implementation of the proposals detailed within the security plan. Their role is to remove the security burden from the vessel and provide a security focal point for all crew members. We integrate with the crew and deliver initial security training relevant to the risks as well as security briefings on immediate actions to be taken. All training is confirmed by a full vessel lockdown drill. Training and security briefings are ongoing, and any on-signer is fully trained within 24 hours of boarding the vessel.
Independent of the vessel’s watch routine, Castor Vali provides an additional independent security lookout routine that includes regular patrols, observation of vulnerable areas, and the use of thermal imagery, night-vision goggles and the vessel’s radar.
When working alongside a host nation security force, Castor Vali provides personnel who are ex-military and have retrained and acclimatised to the commercial offshore environment. Further to their security duties, they also provide advice on the escalation and use of appropriate force in accordance with international law and best practice.
We also provide, where required, armed guards to commercial vessels transiting high-risk areas in the Indian Ocean, the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea.
