Castor Vali’s Security Information Service (SIS) department comprises dedicated and experienced risk analysts who monitor and forecast security concerns as well as political and economic developments for our clients on an ongoing and ad hoc basis.
The types of security incidents and trends monitored, forecasted and analysed by our SIS team typically pertain to the following threat categories: militancy/terrorism; conflict, including ethnic/intercommunal clashes; crime and banditry; piracy and maritime crime; civil unrest; kidnapping; political instability and violence; extortion; COVID-19 and other disease updates; infrastructure disruptions; and extreme weather events.
Our SIS reporting services are grouped into the following categories:
- Africa SIS Packages: Castor Vali has dedicated country risk analysts based in three regional hubs in Africa – Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa – and supported by a network of African consultants to produce a wide variety of country-focused subscription reporting for all 54 states, including the provision of daily, incident-led, weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting.
- Maritime SIS Packages: This dedicated team of intelligence analysts supports our clients with offshore maritime reporting packages. Given our foundation and extensive knowledge in the maritime sector, we provide clients with ongoing support on a global scale through the provision of incident-led flash alerts and the provision of weekly reports.
- Threat & Security Risk Assessments: The SIS department works closely with clients by providing ad hoc intelligence assessments tailored to our client’s operations and areas of interest globally. This includes, but is not limited to, the provision of pre-market entry assessments, due diligence investigations, threat assessments and security risk assessments.
