Venita Soniassy serves as a Director based in Mauritius, providing strategic legal oversight and governance support to the company’s operations within the jurisdiction. She plays a key role in ensuring the company operates in line with the evolving regulatory framework, bringing a practical, solutions-driven approach to complex corporate, transactional and structuring matters. Her work enables the Board to operate with confidence across Mauritius’s recognised international financial centre, balancing compliance with commercial objectives.
Venita is a Barrister with over 18 years of experience in corporate and advisory practice. She has advised management companies, investment structures and multinational clients on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters. She previously practised at 5 St James Court, a Mauritius barristers’ chambers, and has held in-house counsel roles advising on corporate strategy and transactional execution, including serving as group counsel to a company listed on the secondary market in Mauritius.
She holds an LL.M and LL.B from the University of Sussex and completed her Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law. She is also AML/CFT certified, reflecting her strong grounding in compliance and regulatory standards.
