Hutch heads Castor Vali Group’s Corporate Risk division, leading the delivery of intelligence-led advisory services to clients across multiple sectors. He supports organisations in protecting strategic objectives while identifying and enabling responsible growth opportunities[SG8.1].
A native Kenyan, Hutch spent some time in the UK and beyond before returning to Nairobi, where he is based. His expertise includes crisis management, enterprise risk, market entry strategy and incident response. He brings a structured and forward-looking perspective to complex operating environments.
A retired British Army officer, Hutch served in a range of operational and strategic headquarter roles, including work in cyber and information fusion, global security, and crisis and security change management. Prior to Castor Vali, he held senior leadership positions at PwC Africa and Control Risks, and he sits on the boards of several African investment and infrastructure organisations.
